Today I went through my archives and found this proof sheet. It was from a wonderful photo shoot that I did with someone who lived in an apartment above Gallery X in Harlem. Gallery X was an art gallery that was owned by this lovely Turkish woman named Gulsun Erbil. I used to hang out there a lot just to be inspired by the work displayed, and by the people who inhabited in and around the gallery. One such person was this young woman from Lyon, France who lived in the same building where Gallery X was once located. She allowed me to photograph her on the roof of her building, and the results of that photo shoot are in the proof sheet above.
